Travel technology giant Amadeus has appointed Carol Borg as its new chief financial officer, effective 5 May.
Borg joins the company with 30 years of experience in global finance and risk management, having held senior leadership positions in sectors such as energy, renewables and defence. Most recently, she served as group chief financial officer for QinetiQ Group, a multinational defence technology and security company.
Commenting on the appointment, Amadeus president and CEO Luis Maroto said Borg will be “a real asset” for the company.
“Carol’s wide breadth of industry and organisational experience as a group CFO was a real attraction to us – her multi-decade career reflects a strong commitment to innovation throughout, and to delivering and enabling transformation and change for technology-focused multinational organisations, often in complex financial environments,” he said.
Currently based in London, Borg will relocate to Madrid for the role and will report directly to Maroto. She will also take a position on the company’s Executive Committee.
