Luxury brand Corinthia Hotels has opened its first property in the Romanian capital Bucharest.
Corinthia first announced plans for the Grand Hotel du Boulevard Bucharest back in 2018 with an original opening date of late 2019.
The hotel, which is based in a historic renovated 19th century building, finally opened this week featuring 30 suites, three restaurants and bars, plus a spa. Meeting facilities include two boardrooms.
Simon Casson, CEO of Corinthia Hotels, called the opening of the Bucharest property “an important chapter” for the Malta-based company.
“Corinthia Grand Hotel du Boulevard Bucharest is a true celebration of the capital’s rich history and vibrant future,” he added.
“With its unrivalled luxury and exceptional service, we are excited to offer our guests an intimate and refined experience that beautifully blends heritage with modernity in one of the most captivating cities in Europe.”
The latest opening follows the debut of the Corinthia Brussels in Rue Royale hotel in the Belgium capital in December.
