Carbon planning platform Clarasight has appointed former Microsoft global travel director Eric Bailey to its advisory board.
The company, which provides businesses with sustainability insights and forward-looking emissions planning, said Bailey will guide product development and provide strategic direction as it anticipates “significant” product expansion to serve its "rapidly growing" enterprise customer base.
Adam Braun, Clarasight CEO and co-founder, said Bailey’s "deep experience and proven success in championing purposeful travel make him an ideal addition to our advisory board”.
Bailey previously led Microsoft’s Employee Hardware, MSTravel, VenueSource and Payment teams for 180,000 employees in over 100 countries. In 2023, he was inducted into the BTN Business Travel Hall of Fame for his leadership in developing and implementing Microsoft technology solutions to move employees across the globe while maximising productivity. After more than 19 years at Microsoft, Bailey left the company in 2024.
Clarasight changed its name from Climate Club in 2024 and has since appointed a number of industry veterans to its advisory board, including Patrick Diemer, the co-founder and chairman of BT4Europe, tClara founder and CEO Scott Gillespie and former EY global travel manager Karen Hutchings.
