Korean Air has unveiled a new aircraft livery, logo and enhanced onboard services as part of a major rebrand.
The carrier, which finally completed its long-running takeover of Asiana Airlines in late 2024, revealed the new look during a ceremony at its headquarters in Seoul on Tuesday (11 March).
The first aircraft to feature the new livery is a Boeing 787-10, which also includes Korean Air’s latest Prestige Suites 2.0 business class cabin. The aircraft will enter service on Wednesday (12 March) on the Seoul Incheon to Tokyo Narita route.
Walter Cho, Korean Air’s chairman and CEO, said: "As a unified Korean Air, we are committed to more than just transportation - we aim to connect people, cultures and the world through the skies.
“With the full integration of Asiana Airlines, our role as Korea’s flagship carrier has grown even more significant. We will bring together our expertise, refine our strengths and unite cultures to create an innovative, unmatched airline experience."
The enlarged airline group plans to eventually stop using the Asiana Airlines brand from 1 January 2027.
As part of the relaunch, Korean Air is upgrading its inflight meals on long-haul flights by collaborating with chef Seakyeong Kim who has created new “fine dining-inspired” dishes for premium cabins, as well as offering more choice for economy passengers.
Other enhancements include first-class bedding from Italian luxury brand Frette and premium amenity kits from Graff.
The enhanced onboard service will initially be available on 10 routes from Seoul, including flights to Paris and London, from 12 March.
