Long-haul start-up airline Norse Atlantic Airways has started operating to two new US destination from its UK base at London Gatwick.
The Oslo-based carrier has launched services from Gatwick to Los Angeles and San Francisco – the airline’s fifth and sixth US destinations from the London airport.
Norse Atlantic, which secured a UK air operator certificate (AOC) last year, launched its first transatlantic services between Gatwick and New York in summer 2022. The airline already flies from Gatwick to Washington DC, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, with a seventh route to Boston due to start later this summer.
Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways, said: “With the addition of these two destinations Norse Atlantic is now the largest long-haul operator to the US from London Gatwick.”
Norse Atlantic’s new Gatwick-Los Angeles service operates daily, while flights to San Francisco run three times per week. The airline uses Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on its Gatwick routes, which include both economy and premium cabins.
