Paul Spencer
TMC consortium Focus Travel Partnership has appointed Paul Spencer as its new managing director.
The UK-based organisation said that Spencer started his new role on Tuesday (22 April) – the move comes after Focus’ former CEO Steve Banks departed in late 2024.
Spencer started his career in corporate travel in 2008 with Hillgate Travel and also worked for Statesman Travel, where he had responsibility for the TSI Global Network – a TMC network with around 40 members.
Adrian Parkes, who is currently acting as interim chair at Focus, said: “Following a comprehensive and in-depth selection process by the Focus board of directors, it is a pleasure to welcome Paul to the role of managing director.
“He brings strong leadership experience and industry knowledge and will be an asset in driving continued success for the whole partnership; the team are looking forward to working with him.”
Before taking up his position at Focus, Spencer had most recently been working as UK managing director at ITS – Internet Travel Solutions.
“The role allows me to bring my experience and industry knowledge from a wide variety of senior management positions in the TMC and business travel partnership sector, to a successful and extremely well-run organisation,” said Spencer of his role with Focus.
“I look forward to collaborating with the Focus team, our board, TMC partners and suppliers to further develop the value of this unique business.”
