Details: Finland's Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team Oy has appointed CWT as its business travel partner, and in addition to the TMC's core products and services, will deploy CWT's price optimisation solution. The service ensures travellers secure the best airfares and hotel rates even after booking. Access to NDC content, an experienced team, and tech integration were cited as key factors in the selection of CWT. Jarmo Lehtinen, deputy operations director, TGR-WRT, said: “Their comprehensive solutions and dedicated support team will play a key role in streamlining our travel program and ensuring our team can focus on what they do best – racing.”

Details: Simplexity Travel Management has been named as the official travel management partner of the UK's Professional Cricketers’ Association. The London-based TMC will handle the organisation’s travel arrangements in the UK and abroad. Rob Smyth, director of commercial at PCA, said: "We're delighted to be entering into a multi-year agreement with the premium business and leisure travel management company."

Details: World Curling has appointed Gray Dawes as its exclusive international travel partner on an initial two-year term. In addition, Gray Dawes will become an official sponsor of the 2026 and 2027 World Junior Curling Championships. "It's a brilliant opportunity for us to showcase our specialist sports knowledge... as they continue to increase the global reputation of the sport, both on the ice and beyond," said Gray Dawes' head of sports operations Jonathan Hutton.

Details: Operations management consulting company dss+ has appointed CWT as its global business travel partner as it consolidates its travel programme for the first time. The company has offices in more than 25 countries worldwide. "We are excited to partner with CWT to align our global travel operations with our core values of safety and environmental stewardship by having the ability to access travel plans should a need for traveller support arise, and to access real data for carbon reporting,” said Thorsten Querfurt, chief operations officer at dss+.

Details: The UK's Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has reappointed arrangeMY to fulfill its apprenticeship accommodation and travel requirements. Following a competitive tender process, the TMC was awared a five-year deal with the option to extend for a further three years, having worked with the organisation since 2019. Nick Scott, managing director at arrangeMY, said: "Apprenticeship accommodation is a very
specialised sector that involves numerous other factors in comparison to typical corporate travel
management contracts, especially relating to safeguarding and the safety of learners."

Details: UIM E1 World Championship, the world's first electric race boat series, has appointed Gray Dawes as its official travel supplier as it embarks on its second season in 2025. Races in Jeddah, Doha, Monaco, Lake Como and in the US have all been confirmed to date. Rodi Basso (pictured), co-founder and CEO at E1, said: "Travel is going to be incredibly important over the next three years as the championship focuses on its global expansion to bring our unique racing concept to new audiences around the world."

Details: CWT's military and government division, CWTSatoTravel, has been reappointed to manage travel services for the US Army Outside the Continental United States. The contract comprises an estimated 163,000 air and rail transactions annually. “This award is a testament to our team’s dedication and our ability to meet the Army’s complex travel needs, both now and in the future,” said Gregory Harkins, president of CWTSatoTravel. The company also serves as the US Army's TMC for the contiguous United States, landing a five-year deal in 2022. It had initially been unseated by BCD Travel but CWT successfully protested the award (link requires subscription to BTN Group stablemate The Beat).

Details: Corporate Travel Management, Clarity Travel, TravelPerk, Selective Travel Management and Reed & Mackay are among the TMCs to have secured a place on the CCS framework for the nex four years. The CCS is the UK’s largest procurement organisation for the public sector and provides access to travel services for central government departments, local authorities, universities, schools and NHS trusts. The four lots, under the Travel, Transport, Accommodation and Venue
Solutions framework, are worth up to a total of £12.5 billion over the
four-year period of the contract.

Contract: Multi-year renewal (announced May 2024)
Details: Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has signed a multi-year contract extension with hotel booking platform HRS. The
two companies have already been working together since 2018 with Airbus
“gradually expanding” its use of HRS’s procurement, hotel booking and
meeting management services. HRS said in a statement that
the new extended contract would allow Airbus to “maximise data insights”
into its global hotel volumes using HRS’s latest technology. This would
not only improve performance metrics but also “enhance the travel
experience” of Airbus’ employees around the world. The extension
will also allow HRS to help Airbus “steer more volume” to hotels able to
illustrate their sustainability credentials, through HRS’s Green Stay
Initiative. These efforts will be particularly focused on using
preferred eco-hotels in Toulouse and Hamburg, which are home to two of
Airbus’ major production facilities.

The Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium has appointed Clarity Travel Management, Diversity Travel, Key Travel and Selective Travel Management in its latest Travel Management Services
framework which runs from 1 April 2024. All four were part of SUPC’s
previous framework which commenced on 19 August 2019, with TravelPerk
the only agency not to be reappointed. SUPC helps universities and
colleges ‘buy smarter’. Its members include more than 150 institutions

Details: Global tech company Siemens has signed a 'multi-year' contract extension with accommodation platform HRS. The company, which has worked with HRS for more than five years, books more than two million corporate room nights annually across multiple continents. Siemens is on course to have nearly 90 per cent of its preferred
hotel supplier inventory contracted in 2024 at hotels participating in HRS' Green Stay programme. Thorsten Eicke, VP of global mobility for Siemens said: "Our collaboration with HRS consistently sets a new standard for sustainability, automation and process efficiency that benefits our global procurement teams and traveling people."

Details: Following a competitive tender process, the ECB has appointed Travel Places to manage its corporate travel programme and global team travel for the men’s senior team, women’s senior team, disability teams, young cricketers and umpires as they compete both in the UK and around the world. Key focus areas are travel policy and sustainability. The B Corp certified TMC specialises in travel management for the sports, entertainment and media sectors.

Details: Swiss retailer Coop has renewed its contract with Kuoni Business Travel, the TMC announced in February. Samuel Gander, project leader of strategic projects in corporate development at Coop, said the companies’ partnership is characterised by “professionalism, reliability and a customer-centric approach”. A spokesperson for the TMC added: “We eagerly anticipate further deepening our collaboration and crafting innovative solutions for the future of business travel.”

Details: ATPI’s Sports Travel division has been reappointed by the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) as its official travel logistics services partner to coordinate its athlete, teams and staff travel for two years. “Sending Team Canada to the [Olympic] Games is an incredibly complex logistical operation, and we couldn’t do it without the support of a partner like ATPI,” said Jacqueline Ryan, chief brand and commercial officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee. “This is going to be an exciting year, and I’m looking forward to working with them on the road to Paris 2024 and beyond.”

Details: American asset management company Blackstone was named by American Express Global Business Travel chief executive Paul Abbott as a new customer in the company's Q3 earnings call in November 2023. Blackstone says it is the world’s largest alternative asset manager, with $1 trillion in assets under management. An increase in travel and entertainment spend were among the primary reasons for higher operating costs in 2022, the company noted in its annual report published in February 2023.
