Air Canada has restarted its seasonal summer service between Dublin and Vancouver with an extended schedule.
The North American carrier, which will fly nearly 50 routes between Europe and Canada this summer, will operate up to five weekly flights on the Dublin-Vancouver route until 24 October.
Air Canada said it will be able to operate the route for a longer period this summer after Dublin Airport temporarily suspended its passenger cap. The airline had originally intended to only operate the service between June and September.
Bláithín O’Donnell, Air Canada’s sales manager for Ireland, said: “We’re thrilled to be expanding our service between Dublin and Vancouver this summer, in response to growing demand for travel to Canada.
“We have slowly been increasing capacity throughout the year, in line with customer demand, but as the first flight of the season departed Dublin this weekend, we wanted to further strengthen our commitment to the market, by upping frequencies throughout the autumn.”
Air Canada will operate Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the Dublin-Vancouver route fitted with Signature Class, premium economy and economy cabins.
