Italian TMC Cisalpina Tours has appointed Jean-Michel Comte as its country manager for France following its recent expansion across Europe.
Based in Paris, Comte will oversee the TMC’s French operations, which began in 2024. He is tasked with driving growth for the local market and will also implement a "global strategy for France", the TMC said in a statement.
Comte joins the company with more than 20 years’ industry experience, having worked in various account management roles at both CWT and BCD Travel, and also as a project manager for business travel consulting firm Areka.
Most recently, he served as an account manger for French carrier Corsair, where he managed corporate sales distribution networks as well as corporate sales for business and premium cabins.
Cisalpina’s rapid and ongoing expansion earned it a place on BTN Europe’s 2025 Hotlist, with the TMC now looking to establish operations in Australia, China, India and South Africa.
Owned by shipping giant MSC, the company was ranked as the second largest TMC in Italy in 2024 with gross annual sales of €500 million, including €29.6 million from its international business units.
