Travel tech platform Spotnana has appointed Ruben Leal as its new director of sales.
Leal joins the company after close to 20 years “in the trenches” working as a travel and procurement manager for the likes of P&G, Pfizer, Walmart, and Netflix.
Based in Mexico, Leal served as the senior global procurement manager for travel, M&E, fleet and HR services at Pfizer before joining Walmart as the director of global travel services, Latin America, a position he held between 2014 and 2023. He recently joined Netflix as LATAM’s director of travel and expense before a six-month stint as a procurement advisor to Mexican manufacturing firm GCP.
In a LinkedIn post on Tuesday (25 March) announcing his latest move, Leal said: “For years, I sat across from C-suite executives demanding better content, cleaner data, and a booking experience that matched leisure travel… After years of explaining why things couldn't be done, I'm now part of the solution.”
He added: “I can't wait to work alongside [Spotnana colleagues and TMC partners] to transform corporate travel one company, one traveller and one trip at a time.”
In his new role at Spotnana Leal will work remotely from Mexico City.
