Hyatt Hotels has opened a new Hyatt Place property in the centre of the Swedish city of Gothenburg.
The 300-room Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central, which is located above the city’s Central Station, was formerly the Hotel G Gothenburg and has undergone a year-long refurbishment as part of the rebranding process.
Facilities include the Blanche Brasserie & Bar, a fitness centre and a range of meeting spaces with the largest room capable of hosting events for up to 100 guests.
Michel Morauw, Hyatt’s managing director north for the EAME (Europe, Africa, and the Middle East) region, said: “As Gothenburg continues to emerge as a hub for both business and leisure travel, we are excited to add to this momentum by welcoming Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central to the city.
“With a prime location, modern designed spaces and thoughtfully sourced dining options, we look forward to introducing guests to all that the hotel has to offer.”
Hyatt Place is one the US-based hotel firm’s “select service” brands with more than 400 properties worldwide, including 12 locations in Europe.
Last month, the company opened a dual-branded development housing both a Hyatt Place and Hyatt House in the UK city of Leeds.
