IHG’s Kimpton upmarket “lifestyle” brand has opened its first German property in the centre of Frankfurt’s financial district.
Kimpton Main Frankfurt is based in the former offices of Deutsche Bank and forms part of the new Four Frankfurt development.
The new 155-room Kimpton hotel also features a rooftop bar, brasserie-style restaurant and the May cocktail lounge.
Kimpton was created as a brand in the US in 1981 and was later acquired by IHG for $430 million in 2014.
It already has properties in major European cities such as London, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Barcelona and Paris, with further hotels planned for Marbella in Spain and Portugal’s Algarve region.
