Spanish carrier Iberia has added two new positions to its management committee as it prepares to embark on “a new stage of transformation”.
Beatriz Guillén, currently the carrier’s director of global sales and loyalty will now lead the customer division, which had been integrated into Iberia’s commercial division following the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now re-established as an independent function, the customer division integrates areas such as customer experience, customer engagement, CRM and marketing automation and loyalty.
Additionally, the carrier’s director of strategy, Diego Fernández Ortiz, has been appointed to lead the newly combined strategy, transformation and sustainability division.
This new division will encompass the areas of transformation (previously under the remit of finance) and environmental sustainability (previously part of the corporate department), as the carrier looks to create a “more strategic vision” for the acquisition and production of alternative aviation fuels in Spain.
The newly expanded management team will oversee implementation of the carrier’s Flight 2030 Plan, which will be announced in June.
