Partnership Travel Consulting (PTC) will expand the capabilities of its Fare Audit services to cover off-channel bookings collected by corporate data capture technology provider Traxo under the terms of a new partnership.
Following the agreement, buyers can consent to their data flowing automatically between Traxo and PTC "in near real-time," according to the companies. This will allow Fare Audit, which PTC acquired earlier this year, to audit airfares from both managed and unmanaged bookings.
The audit process includes looking at other fares on the same flight to compare what was booked off-channel to the lowest fare available within the company's policy. Corporates also have the option to expand this auditing to other alternative flights which are compliant with travel policy.
Andy Menkes, PTC’s founder and CEO and Fare Audit president, said: "With access to off-channel bookings, we will ensure that no transaction goes unaudited, helping clients uncover missed savings and reduce policy leakage in ways that weren’t previously possible.”
PTC and Traxo eventually plan to expand auditing capabilities to include hotel rates, noting that this "presents additional complexities actively being addressed for future release".
Traxo's CEO Andres Fabris added that the visibility of corporate travel programmes “must evolve to keep pace” with suppliers’ latest retail strategies.
“We’re excited to partner with PTC’s Fare Audit Division as they bring this same level of precision and transparency to fare auditing,” said Fabris.
“Together, we empower companies to audit all travel activity, not just what flows through traditional channels - unlocking new opportunities for savings, compliance and a better traveller experience.”
