Air France has extended its baggage drop-off and delivery service at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, previously reserved for departing flights, to now include arrivals at the French capital.
The move builds on an existing agreement between the carrier and French baggage specialist Alltheway, which provides “a secure baggage storage and transfer service” to and from the airport.
Baggage delivery services are available on all flights operated by Air France on arrival at Paris CDG to any address in the Paris or greater Paris region.
According to the carrier, Alltheway agents will “take charge of customers’ baggage” while liaising with custom authorities upon collection at the airport. Customers can track their baggage “every step of the way”, with delivery expected between six and 12 hours after arrival. Prices start from €65 for two bags, and €15 euros for each additional bag.
Meanwhile, baggage drop-off and remote check-in options are available for all flights (except those to Tel Aviv) departing from both Paris CDG and Paris Orly airports. Travellers can remotely check-in baggage from a Paris address of their choice or from one of several drop-off points across the city.
These are available at Gare du Nord train station, Wojo coworking space near Saint Lazare train station, six Accor properties – Novotel Tour Eiffel, Mercure Tour Eiffel, Novotel Les Halles, Pullman La Défense, Pullman Bercy and Novotel Paris-Est – and at major event venues such as Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Parc des Expositions de Villepinte and Palais des Congrès.
The service, which costs €25 for one bag, and €15 per additional bag, is available from 30 hours and up to five hours prior to flight departure.
New first class check-in lobby
The carrier, on Wednesday, also inaugurated its new ‘La Première’ first class check-in lobby and airport suites at Paris CDG airport.
Reserved for passengers travelling in the carrier’s new La Première first class suite, the lobby (pictured) includes two private lounges, shower facilities, a Sisley-operated spa and a team of Air France staff that manages “all departure-related procedures”, including check-in and luggage assistance, according to the carrier. There’s also a dedicated security checkpoint.
Three new airport suites can also be reserved for an additional cost of €800. Adjacent to the La Première lounge, the 45-sqm suites feature a living area and outdoor patio, bedroom, bathroom and a dedicated butler.
