Air France will offer new concierge services at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport from 11 June to “welcome and assist” travellers, albeit at an additional cost.
The French carrier said a “range of tailor-made services” will be provided in either French or English to customers with bookings for flights operated by Air France or any of its codeshare partners.
This includes a private transfer to and from the airport for journeys within a 40km radius, baggage handling and personalised concierge assistance through the airport's priority lanes and/or to the lounge or boarding gate.
The service comes with a tiered pricing structure, depending on the number of travellers, and can also be paid for using miles. For a single traveller, the service is charged at €400 or 80,000 miles. This increases by increments of €50, or 10,000 miles, for each additional traveller.
For departing travellers, a porter service will also take baggage to the check-in counter, while travellers with either a departing or connecting flight in economy or premium economy cabins can pay an additional €75 (or 15,000 miles) to access to an airline lounge.
The service can be booked up to 18 hours prior to departure.
