Delta Air Lines' newest Sky Club lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will open to the public on Tuesday (8 April).
The new facility in Concourse D, which handles domestic flights, will be Delta’s eighth Sky Club at its hub airport. The 24,000 square foot lounge is the second-largest Sky Club in Atlanta and can cater for up to 506 passengers – more than any of its other Sky Clubs at the airport.
The latest Sky Club also offers panoramic airfield views, two beverage stations, one large buffet, a 16-seat bar, six soundproof telephone booths and a "business-centric layout".
Claude Roussel, VP of Delta Sky Club and lounge experience, said: “The opening of our newest Delta Sky Club in Atlanta – during what happens to be both Delta and Atlanta’s centennial year – is a testament to our unwavering commitment to this city and the customers we serve here.”
Delta's clubs on Concourses A and C also will receive updates, according to the carrier, which did not specify a timeframe for this work.
Elsewhere, the airline is due to open a Delta One Lounge and new Delta Sky Club in Seattle later this year. Delta also plans a second club at Salt Lake City, as well as expanding the club at Philadelphia.
