Emirates’ premium economy cabin will be available on more European routes this summer, with the carrier planning to introduce its retrofitted A380 aircraft on routes to Manchester and Milan from 6 June and 1 July, respectively.
The Dubai-based carrier is in the process of fitting its A380s with a new four-cabin configuration, which includes 56 premium economy seats laid out in a 2-4-2 configuration.
Milan will become the carrier’s second Italian gateway to feature the premium economy cabin, following the planned deployment of the airline’s A350 to Bologna in June.
Manchester, meanwhile, will be the fourth UK destination with the upgraded cabin, complementing the carrier’s four daily retrofitted A380s currently serving the Dubai-London Heathrow route, its A350 operating to Edinburgh, and the soon-to-launch refurbished Boeing 777 scheduled to serve London Stansted from May.
The latest additions will see Emirates' retrofitted A380s serve 19 destinations, including Sydney, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York JFK and San Francisco.
