South American airline LATAM has agreed a new distribution deal with Sabre to make its NDC-based content available in more than 20 countries worldwide.
The move means that Sabre-connected TMCs and travel agencies in several major European markets, including France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the UK, can now access LATAM’s NDC fares.
Tomas Covarrubias, senior vice president of revenue, sales and distribution at LATAM Airlines Group, said: “Through the integration of Sabre’s NDC capabilities, we are able to provide travel agencies with broader access to our product offerings.
“We are excited to continue innovating alongside Sabre and advancing the evolution of travel distribution.”
The airline group has subsidiaries across South America, including Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru.
Following this latest agreement, Sabre said that 34 airlines had now integrated their NDC content into the tech firm’s global booking platforms.
“This milestone reinforces our focus on delivering the content, capabilities and expertise travel agencies need to thrive in a multi-source content landscape, including NDC,” added Kathy Morgan, SVP of product management – distribution experience at Sabre Travel Solutions.
Another leading travel tech company Amadeus agreed a deal in December with LATAM to distribute its NDC content this year.
