Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc is to introduce a new route linking London Stansted Airport with its hub at Casablanca.
The Stansted-Casablanca route is due to begin on 24 June and will operate three times per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Oneworld member Royal Air Maroc launched a service between Manchester Airport and Casablanca last year – both Manchester and Stansted airports are part of Manchester Airports Group (MAG).
Royal Air Maroc’s latest UK route between Stansted and Casablanca will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with a flight time of around 3 hours and 20 minutes.
Zoubida Smahi, Royal Air Maroc’s UK general manager, said: “This new service reflects our commitment to providing convenient and accessible travel options for both business and leisure travellers, while also connecting them to our extensive network across Africa.”
Royal Air Maroc was the first African airline to join the Oneworld alliance in 2020 when it also started codeshare flights with British Airways.
