Thrust Carbon has unveiled its first Compliance Suite, which is designed to help corporates to meet the increasing number of environmental reporting requirements around the world.
The sustainability specialist estimated that there were now around 1,500 climate change-related laws globally making it “both more important and more difficult than ever for companies to achieve climate compliance”.
UK-based Thrust Carbon’s new compliance platform is designed to give clients emissions data that is “highly robust and transparent”, as well as being “dynamic and customisable”. This allows the data to be used to meet a range of compliance standards and requirements.
Features within the Compliance Suite include customised settings so clients can choose from a range of leading carbon calculation methodologies, such as ICAO, IATA, DEFRA and Google TIM (Travel Impact Model), while ISO 14083 settings can also be applied.
Thrust Carbon added that tools within the platform make it easier for organisations to “prove the accuracy and reliability of their emissions calculations with unprecedented transparency”.
Kit Aspen, CEO at Thrust Carbon, said: “Questionable data and lack of transparency have undermined the race to net zero across every business sector. For Thrust Carbon and the travel industry, this ends today. We've augmented our industry-leading compliance tools to make them more powerful than ever."
Capabilities within the tool include the ability to break down emissions calculations by showing up to 30 data points per travel segment, as well as enabling CSV downloads and providing summary reports and dashboards.
There is also a CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) risk assessment tool and in-depth guides to regulations.
The Compliance Suite is available as standard to all Thrust Carbon users through the Thrust Calculator.
Pippa Ganderton, director of ATPI Halo, the TMC’s sustainability division, said: “ATPI were early adopters of Thrust Carbon. We love that they continue to challenge the status quo, pushing us and our clients to do better, as well as having the peace of mind that their emissions reporting aligns with international standards."
