Airline aggregator TPConnects Technologies is adding content from South African budget carrier FlySafair to its Iris platform.
Johannesburg-based low-cost carrier FlySafair, which started flights in 2014, offers services to 14 destinations around southern Africa and provides domestic transport for South Africa’s national rugby and cricket teams.
"The integration of FlySafair into our Iris platform marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to provide the best available content to our customers," said Eric Dumas, CEO of TPConnects, which is majority owned by Australia-based Flight Centre.
"By bringing FlySafair's network and competitive fares onto Iris, we're not only expanding low-cost carrier distribution in South Africa but also enabling seamless access for travel businesses across both corporate and leisure sectors.”
The company added that FlySafair’s content was already available to Flight Centre’s corporate and leisure brands through the Iris platform.
Sue Garrett, GM of supply and distribution at Flight Centre Travel Group, said: "The addition of FlySafair's content to the Iris platform strengthens our offering in the important South African market and demonstrates our commitment to providing comprehensive travel solutions to our customers."
